You can probably tell straight away that these photos aren’t recent… they are back from my last visit to NYC in February. As soon as I arrived it snapped to the depths of winter below -20 degrees celsius each day and blankets of snow. I had an intense few weeks before this, flying 110+ hours within three weeks between Sydney – Hong Kong – Maldives – Sydney – London – Barcelona – Sydney – NYC. I was physically and mentally exhausted by the end of it and laid low recuperating in Brooklyn.
On the first day the sun came out I caught up with my friend and photographer Sara, who snapped these photos in the streets of Soho. I had never seen icicles forming along buildings and down fire escapes before… far too beautiful.
I’m trying to catch up on long overdue posts over the next few weeks; but as I am still on the road you’ll have to hang in with me! J x
