If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you might remember my first post from Columbia Road Flower Markets here, from while I was living in East London in 2010. Years and years later, these markets were still my top priority when I went back to London with Harrods in March.
In some ways it felt like I had never left. The same freezing crisp air but with blue skies streaming sunshine, and a hot coffee to keep my hands warm when they weren’t holding as many flowers as I could carry. There is something about waking early on a Sunday morning to go look at flowers and wander streets that makes me inconceivably happy. If you’re visiting, make sure to walk up to Hackney’s main street to London Fields for a cider and picnic after, or along the canal to Victoria Park. To me, this is London.
