Earlier this year during MBFWA, it was announced that I am lucky enough to be named a ‘Fashion Ambassador‘ for Destination NSW alongside some familiar faces. I’m so excited to be working closer with Destination NSW and See Sydney tourism while I am home over the summer period. I’ll be showing my readers around some of the highlights and my personal favourite things to do in NSW and Sydney- starting with birds eye view over my home city.
I always try to score the window seat while flying back in to Sydney- as it is truly the most beautiful city from the sky. But flying in a chartered Sydney Seaplanes made for a completely different experience. Taking off from Rose Bay and flying up over the rugged headlands of Manly and The Northern Beaches, right up to The Hawkesbury River, Palm beach and Umina, and back down to a spectacular finale of Sydney Harbour.
An interpretation of a quote by Dagobert D. Runes rang through my mind while realising despite seeing NYC, Rio and The Great Barrier Reef by sky, I had taken for granted what I’ve had at home the entire time; “People travel to faraway places to watch, in fascination, the kind of people places they ignore at home”.
