I found myself at Buza Bar years ago on my first trip to Europe. I spent only one afternoon in Dubrovnik but it was instantly one of my favourite places and Buza Bar was at the top of my recommendations to anyone visiting. Back then I only knew Buza Bar as the ‘Hole in the Wall’, quite literally being a hole in the walls surrounding Dubrovnik’s Old Town leading to a bar overlooking the incredible blue sea brimming with swimmers and cliff jumpers. Going back it has changed a lot and is now much more ‘established’ bar with its own door and sign at the entrances instead of the hole. Although it might have lost a bit of its ‘off the beaten track’ charm, it is truly a beautiful spot worth sharing.
After a sweltering day having a local guide us through Dubrovnik’s Old Town we headed to Buza Bar to cool down and watch the sun start to set. Thinking back at how intense the heat was I have no idea how Nicole and I sustained so much self control to take these photos, before finally jumping off in to the glimmering sea with everyone else.
