La Boqueria

I only had a few days in Barcelona and made sure to make the most of exploring. Unfortunately my hotel didn’t have a pool and with the beach not at the top of my list, the only way to cool down was drinking several fresh fruit smoothies from La Boqueria market.

For just  €1 each I made it through four before the feeling of deliciously drowning in mixed berries. This market is at the top of the ‘must see’ list while in Barcelona and unmissable from La Rambla. Aisles full of gelati and ice pops, candy, vegetables, spices, seafood and of course endless fresh fruit (am I the only one who didn’t know that yellow watermelons exist?!).

I ordered this bag from Asos in a black and white monochrome but ended up receiving an all white bag. The mishap didn’t click until after I had started using it as my carry on bag for flights for my laptop and camera, but now the all white is growing on me. Doubling as a carry all for a long day wandering Barcelona, containing my extensive bounty of fruits and  camera hidden from any pickpockets sights.
