Home sweet home. After travelling months on end, in several countries, dozens of planes and trains, hundreds of new and old friends, and one overpacked suitcase, it is a surreal moment when the pilot says over the intercom “welcome to Sydney”. I told my family and friends I was taking a trip back to Europe and spending Christmas & New Years overseas, instead stretching the pretend flight time in my favour to fly JFK-LAX-SYD, and completely surprising my family at home one morning. I will remember their reactions forever!
I’ve had this dress for a few weeks now, being obviously impossible to wear in New York’s freezing cold I waited to wear it in Sydney’s heat. Unfortunately it is one of those nearly too incredible pieces where I found myself wondering where the hell am I going to wear this to? And when nothing suitable came up, I wore it anyway.
