I had been counting down for the heat of summer for months in dreary Sydney- but did not anticipate this. Today it is 36 degrees in Florence. I don’t care what anyone says, the heat makes all clothing unappealing and nearly everyone unattractive (or at least feel it). Example is when I get ready in air conditioning of a morning, to walk out the front door and have my make up slide off and clothes stick to me. If you’re not beachside the best you can hope for is a breeze. With that said, please excuse my scewed shirt trying to escape my body heat and feet swelling to the point I have to actually take my sandals off under the table.
I’ve been trying not to wear denim shorts every day as they are not my favourite look, but they honestly are all you can wear some days. So, try and wear them well. I’ll be living in basics the next few weeks and trying to bring more life to my extremely limited wardrobe by alternating between a few collar necklaces (and Zanita lending me her bag and belt helps!).
We had our Style Lab with Luisaviaroma for the Firenze 4ever event on Sunday, and I’m trying not to think about the ‘error’ the memory card full of photos of my outfit is coming up with. I’m hoping to find somewhere here in Florence to salvage the images, or as we’re heading to Milan next it might have to wait until then. Fingers and toes crossed! I don’t think I’ve ever loved both shooting the photos and the results so much, than Zanita and I working together doing our ‘A team’ thing literally over looking the Duomo, Florence city and out to Tuscany. Pinching myself every day…
